Mark has made a career out of doing the impossible. Whether it’s infusing new life into old brands, transforming college students into young professionals, or turning skeptical audiences into enthusiastic believers, Mark challenges your preconceptions about what is truly possible. Mark is a seasoned writer, graphic designer, former college professor, author, speaker, trainer, facilitator and “Perceptionist”. As a trainer, facilitator and magical performer Mark works wonders with the toughest business audiences. In Mark’s hands, steel spikes bend, objects move by themselves, thoughts are read and the laws of nature are seemingly defied. Audiences witness first hand the amazing power of the mind. They also learn how to harness their own power to solve problems, discover new product and sales opportunities, work more effectively in teams and connect powerfully with others.

Accomplishments

As a Speaker, Trainer and Facilitator

Mark has developed custom programs, led executive retreats and delivered presentations on dealing with change, solving problems more creatively, and the secrets to building powerful teams. Clients include Cleveland Clinic Health System, Cuyahoga Community College, ClearChannel Communications, Progressive Insurance and KeyBank. Mark is also in great demand as an entertaining keynote speaker, where he weaves demonstrations of “mind magic” with his messages to create a one-of-kind experience.

As a College Professor

Mark received the 1998 Faculty Excellence Award, College of Arts & Sciences, Bowling Green State University. As the Graphic Design Chair at BGSU, Mark was responsible for teaching, course development and management of a 250-major undergraduate and graduate degree program, the largest of its type in BGSU’s history.

As a Graphic Designer

Mark founded and managed all aspects of two visual communication firms from 1983 to 1998. He created and managed the implementation of a comprehensive identity system for an international Fortune 500 company and developed over 150 corporate identity programs for a wide range of industrial, retail and service companies. Mark wrote and designed annual reports, advertising campaigns, sales brochures and packaging for Bonne Bell, the Cleveland Orchestra, Smucker’s and Volvo/General Motors. His creative work has received more than 50 regional, national and international awards of design excellence.

As “The Perceptionist”

Since 1978 Mark has presented his singular form of “mind magic” for corporate, retail, academic and service organizations. He is an accomplished sleight-of-hand artist who dazzles crowds from the stage or from just a few inches away.

Mark has developed dozens of custom performances over the years including a Wild West gambling demonstration for a crowd of 1,500 Japanese industrialists and presented mysteries from India and the Far East for an international group of physicians. He has performed throughout the US as well as in Thailand, Bali, Oxford, England and Florence, Italy.

Mark received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees in graphic design and a B.S. in public relations/journalism from Kent State University.
